This low flat island located 5 km southwest from the town center of Panglao brags astounding marine biodiversity appealing to tourists of all ages. Hailed by divers as one of the best spots in the world to do scuba diving and snorkeling, Balicasag Island has been home to abundant coral reefs and marine life, ranging from different species of sponges, corals and gorgonians which are dwelled by barracudas, mackerels, jacks and some unique species of fishes.

With its 1.5 acre of land bordered by sandy shell beaches that gleam flawlessly under the sunlight, the island can be toured within a day, so that tourists get to enjoy the sights and sounds that made Balicasag a world-class destination. • Royal Garden – situated at the northern part where you get a dumbfounding view of the multi-colored reef inhabited by a diverse mixture of tropical fish
• Turtle point – tourists get to see the main character of the point which is, of course, turtles, who made this as their lair to protect themselves from impending danger. It has caves about 60-75 meters down.
• Cathedral Wall – found southwest where you get another point view of the bustling marine life consisting of sponges, big jacks, reef fish and many more life forms.
• Diver’s Haven – located on the eastern side of the island, Black Coral Forest – this kind of coral is rarely found especially on a shallow 90 feet depth. Your usual divers don’t get to see this everyday anywhere on earth.
